We delayed completion of this study due to multiple disturbances posed on the education system from April 2019 following the Easter bombing and then the COVID 19 pandemic lockdowns and the economic crisis. Now we have completed the data collection to full fill the primary objectives and the secondary objective of the original proposal submitted. We have complete the phase one and phase 2 of the study. We completed the study by the end of June 2023 when we complete the data collection to full fill the final objective which we added to look at the long term outcome of this study. Hence we added one more secondary objective to look at the outcomes of the interventions on the reading abilities of the children following an intervention. We kindly request your permission to conduct this final assessment as an amendment to our protocol.
