Report Summary

As the clinical trial is currently underway there is limited interim data to report. At the 1-year mark the clinical trial timeline was revised to accommodate external circumstances which delayed the implementation, such as security concerns and temporary weather emergencies, and the current timeline projects the end of the trial by June 2020. Recruitment and enrolment are carried out with a view towards this timeline and proceeding on track. The intervention is being implemented successfully with very good uptake from the participants. Feedback has been consistently very positive and support from local partners has been excellent and timely. Electronic and paper data collected from participants is being cleaned in preparation for analysis the completion of the trial. The Principal Investigator has travelled to Sri Lanka approximately every quarter since the commencement of the trial to supervise implementation, liaise with local partners and stakeholders and provide additional value for Sri Lankan partners and local academics in training.
