Report Summary

The herbal drug capsules were prepared using freeze-dried powder of hot water leaf extraction of Coccinia grandis (Linn.) Voigt. The placebo was also prepared The determination of physicochemical parameters, analysis of heavy metals, analysis of microbial contamination, screening of phytochemicals, development of thin layer chromatograms and HPLC fingerprint profile have been completed on the herbal drug and for the placebo capsule. Satisfactory results were obtained after the standardization of the C. grandis it has been recommended to be used in the clinical trial.
