Trial start and end dates had to be delayed since the recruitment of newborn infants to the intervention trial depend on recruitment of pregnant mothers from the antenatal clinics and the delivery of the infant. Recruitment of the pregnant mothers was heavily interrupted by the COVID pandemic and travel restrictions imposed by the government which affected the clinic attendance. Last new-born recruitment took place on 31/01/2023. Therefore, in keeping with 12 month intervention, trial ends on 31/01/24.
