Target group 1: 1. Educational and hands on training on improving menstrual hygiene – by conducting two days in-service teacher training program 2.Providing ‘Teacher’s Guide’

Target group 2: 1. Educational and hands on training on improving menstrual hygiene by conducting 5 educational sessions by target group 1 2. Providing hand book on ‘Promotion of menstrual hygiene’


Inclusion criteria

Target group 1: • Female teachers • Teaching grade 10 classes • Involved in health promotion activities and counseling

Target group 2: • All female students in grade 10 • Attainment of menarche


Exclusion criteria

Target group 1: • No active involvement in health promotion activities and counseling

Target group 2: • Non attainment of menarche



Primary outcome(s)

1.

Target group 1: By a developed and validated questionnaire with the experts in the relevant field • Improvement of knowledge and attitudes of menstruation and menstrual hygiene • Improvement of reported practices regarding promotion of menstrual hygiene in the adolescent school girls

Target group 2: By a developed questionnaire with the experts in the relevant field Improvement of knowledge, attitudes and practices of menstruation and menstrual hygiene
